using /otto/ should also work, what OS is your other server on? I believe Mac (due to an idiosyncrasy of the Apache web server) requires that final “/” at the end of the path for the redirect to work properly.

Not with OttoFMS, as it is running on the server. If the server goes down, OttoFMS goes down with it. You would need to use a third party monitoring system (or use a hosting provider who does monitoring). Also, let’s try and keep the conversation in this thread focused on the one issue.
