Bad news, but some more insights as well.
Did a copy of the prod files to the dev files using OttoFMS and they seemed OK, but when I manually closed them and try to reopen one of the dev files, it asked for the encryption password.
But his is definitely a FileMaker Server bug because:
- i entered the encryption password with the save checkbox on when opening
- closed the file, it closed (icon grey)
- tried to reopen the file, it asked for the password again!
I tried this several times, and have created a video of the mishap.
I passed it on to Claus Lavendt, he’s an authority when it comes to FMS, and I think he will have more of a chance getting attention at Claris for this issue.
So sorry, no dice, not solved in 22, and not an OttoFMS bug.
I wonder what the mechanism for this “remembering” is. Probably so complex that it has become buggy.
