API Access for SSO Account Modification

Hi Jason,

Welcome to the party

If you are asking about the FileMaker Account you have to create, the answer is no. The API can’t help you there.

However FileMaker 25’s Add Account Script Step can now do that. Not sure if that helps you or not.

Thanks! I can’t remember my old login info.

I was asking about creating Ottomatic SSO User Accounts. I thought I read about it somewhere, but might’ve just imagined it. That feature would be super useful to allow clients who don’t use another form of SSO to be able to manage their own users for multiple file solutions.

Thanks for the confirmation. We will advise our client. It’s a system that might be used by multiple locations with currently unknown SSO methods (if any) so we were leaning towards them using one method from the start.

Even on the surface, it appears to be a complicated permission and security structure to configure. I’m sure every step I can imagine has five, ten, or more underlying processes. The juice has to be worth the squeeze to write it.
