Can not Deploy Ottodeploy

hi,

I am getting error:
Unable to start the deployment. Please try again or check your connection.: OttoFMS API Error: spawn wmic ENOENT. HTTP Status Code: 500.

when I try to deploy Ottodeploy.

Server is Windows, FMS 19.6.4.402.

any ideas?

I did the Ottofms via powershell with no issues during installation

Hey Akis,

Are you running Windows 11? One of the newer versions of it? It looks like Windows removed the wmic command line and one of our dependencies is using it. I’ll look into getting that updated so we no longer use the deprecated command line tool. Thanks for the report!

It should presumably be using powershell if possible for the command. If you run “where powershell” in the command line on the server what does it return?

it is windows server 2016, and it runs from C:\windows\system32

any ideas how I can solve the issue? we can not install the ottodeploy solution

Windows Server 2016 is quite an old version and is not a supported operating system for FileMaker Server or for OttoFMS. We’ve had others hit issues with older versions of Windows Server as well, I’d recommend updating to a newer version of Windows Server.
