Now that 21.1 server is here some adjustment to the visuals will be required…
Ah yes indeed! Just curious, what would you want here?
Would it be useful to still show stats like total calls and bandwidth, or would you only want to see that the Data API service is enabled?
Is that bandwidth figure a measure of data usage or speed? And will the total now always just say 0?? And reset data seems superfluous.
only for 21.1++ though
Helpful to see it is enabled though, although for other reasons I prefer to see that OData is enabled.
It’s just the data usage, not speed. We were only showing it because it’s available in the stats (since they were tracking it) but now that they’re not tracking it anymore they might eventually stop reporting it to.
And for OData, yes I suspect that we could show that as well but I’ll have to double-check. Thanks for the suggestion!
Hey John,
Eric put together a new visual for the Data API on the server dash. For servers where the usage matters (ie. servers older than 21.1), it displays similarly to the previous version. For servers 21.1 and later, we are now simply displaying a set of toggles to turn the DAPI and OData on and off right from OCC. these toggles are also there for servers on older versions in the top bar of the card.
This is now live!

Very neat, thanks all.
This is sad to hear. Sometimes seeing DAPI usage, is a diagnostic tool. Like when someone accidentally is sending out 45 GB of data in a week, and we know it should only be 3-5 MB. LOL
Then we need to ask Claris to put the counter back!!
I have to verify yet, but I’m under the impression that it is still logged in the same place, though this just may be the individual call data. Which is probably fine too.
