Looking for the Best Ways to Install ProofGeist in a Hybrid Cloud Setting

Hello Everyone :hugs:,

I’m working on an endeavour where we want to use ProofGeist in a cloud-based hybrid environment, and I’m pretty new to ProofGeist. Our company is moving from a fully on-premise configuration to a more adaptable hybrid one. Even though we’ve come a long way, I wanted to ask this community for advice, best practices, and potential hazards to watch out for.

Project Synopsis:

Present Configuration: All on-premise, incorporating multiple legacy systems.
Transition Goals: Adopt a hybrid cloud strategy that takes advantage of cloud services as well as our current infrastructure to provide flexibility and scalability.
Role of ProofGeist: In our hybrid environment, ProofGeist will be used for improved process automation, data management, and seamless integration.

Particular Fields of Study:

  1. Architecture: What exactly are the most suitable methods for creating a ProofGeist infrastructure that successfully combines cloud services and on-site systems? Exist any case studies or reference architectures that we may use as a guide?

  2. Security: What steps can we take to make sure the hybrid environment has strong security? More specifically, how should ProofGeist be used to manage encryption of data, access controls, and regulatory requirements?

  3. Performance Optimisation: How can we best utilise on-site and cloud resources to access and process data with the least amount of latency possible? Any recommendations for reducing latency and guaranteeing high availability?

  4. Migration Strategy: Which migration tactics worked best for people who used ProofGeist to go from a premises to a cloud-only model? Did the move go more smoothly because of any tools or procedures?

  5. Typical Obstacles: What typical problems arise during a changeover like this, and how might we proactive solve them? Any insights you could share from your own observations would be priceless.

I would be grateful for any guidance, materials, or experiences that others may share. We’re enthusiastic about the possibilities that ProofGeist presents and are dedicated to ensuring a seamless and effective transfer.

Hello Andro

Welcome to the community. We are glad you are here.

I think first we might want to clarify the terms. I think there might be some translation problems. But your English is definitely better than my French.

  • ProofGeist is a company.
  • We make OttoFMS which runs on your server.
  • We also provide cloud platform made for FileMaker Applications called Ottomatic.

OttoFMS can stand by itself and run on any Infrastructure or cloud. But it is also a key part of Ottomatic. Every server that runs on Ottomatic is running OttoFMS.

Ok so that should help clarify the names. And I think you mean OttoFMS when you are saying ProofGeist.

Do I have that right? If so could you try to ask your question again.
