I run a small host of servers on AWS all on ubuntu. I typically run the OS drives lean and put data, backups, and containers all on separate drives. Tonight I attempted to run a deployment and it failed for lack of space–because it was using the OS drive. I don’t see any place where I can specify which drive to use but was frustrated further after expanding the EBS drive, OttoFMS still insisted that I still only had 12G free. It would not read the new drive size. I attempted restarting OttoFMS and even a full reboot–none of that changed OttoFMS insistence that I only had 12G left when I actually had 35G left.
Ok. good to know. But this question remains; I have ,in this instance, 4 drives: OS, Data, backups, and containers. I should be able to designate one of the other drives as the target for Otto to do all the work on rather than having to increase the size of my OS drive.
The 2nd question is, even after I increased the size of the drive, Otto still said there was only 12G available even though there was 35G available which would have satisfied the 3x requirement.
OttoFMS uses the backup drive, not the OS drive. How much space is on that drive?
That one had 37G available.
