OttoDeploy runs in timeout

Hi there

I have a server setting of 3 windows servers: dev, test, live.
OttoFMS is 4.15.1 on all machines, FileMaker Server on 22.0.4 on all machines.

The deployment from dev to test starts fine until “build runnig, completed 12 of 12 files” .
After this , the process does not go on and after 30 minutes i get a “Build server timeout: Timeout exceeded”
I see in the build log the zip file is created - i see thi jit-file in the …/outbox/ folder on the source server.
Connection test between the two servers is working fine.

What i already have done:
-updated ottofms and filemaker on both servers
-restarted both servers
-deleted and recreated api-keys
-tried different deploymens ( Migration or replace of the sample file )

Is there anything else i can do?

I do have the detailled logs if you need them.

A strange behaviour after the timeout or when i abort the deployment: When i start another deployment, ottofms is saying another deployment is still running ( i suspect the last one has not been terminated correctly) . In this case i have to restart the ottofms-service.

Sorry you’re hitting this issue. This is likely due to the source build becoming hung, which we’ve heard about but been unable to replicate. Does the issue happen for you every time? If so, can you turn on debug logging on the source server and send me the debug log for the period of time the just in time build runs? 4.15.0 added some debug logs that will help me find the source of this issue.

As for fixing it and moving forward, you should restart ottofms on the source and destination to clear out hung builds and deployments then try again. Please let me know if it happens multiple times! I’d love to see the build logs for the one that timed out and the debug log for that period of time if you have it.

Thanks for your reply. I found the issue: The server names were not resolved, the client changed the network infrastructure without letting us know.

When this issue is resolved, i hope it will work just fine.
