OttoFMS becoming unresponsive / unreachable sporadically

Hi Guys,

Hoping to get some help on some OttoFMS stability issues.

We have 4x FMS instances hosted with Soliant. Current configs for all 4 servers are:

  • Windows Server 2022 v10.0 Build 20348
  • FMS Version 21.0.2 202
  • OttoFMS Version 4.7.0

The issue we’re seeing is that the OttoFMS service runs fine for a few minutes, and then becomes completely unresponsive. We get login pages that look like this:

And OttoDeploy can’t run any migrations because it can’t connect.

When we do get migrations running, they often error out with an error in 500 range

So - we’re kinda stuck. I don’t personally see this on other hosting platforms or OS’s other than Windows, but we need to get this working on the Soliant / Windows infrastructure. Mike Duncan is happy to help out on this, what are the best next steps? Could we send you some log files or something like that?
If so - either let me know here and I’ll forward the request on, unless you’d be happier just reaching out direct to Mike, in which case I can DM you his email address (but I’m sure you probably have a record of that internally anyway).

I think if you contact Soliant support and let them know what is happening they should be able to resolve it. They have been through this before. Here is a thread from another user who was having problems running OttoFMS on Soliant Servers.

Make sure your servers meet the minimums for OttoFMS
Technical Information | OttoFMS.
Some hosting providers use AWS T-Types, these are not good enough.

Also like the thread above make sure that Antivirus is not misconfigured.
