S3 Offsite Backup not working

Hi,

I’m using OttoFMS 4.10.3 and FMS 20.3.2.205 on a Windows Server 2022 Standard 21H2.

I added an S3 source on Wasabi, and it’s correctly recognized and accessible from Otto.
I added a backup schedule, and it’s correctly recognized in the FMS console.
The backup is triggered and saved locally, but never arrives on the bucket.
I successfully tested read/write access to the bucket via Cyberduck.
No information in the Otto logs.

Did I miss something?

Hey @jppalha ,

The backups for the schedule would be within that “demo” folder there. Path would be something like: File Browser/Offsite Storage/otto-offsite-1/fms-test/demo/dbs/[…your list of backups is here]. Do you see them in that folder?

It should also have some logs in the otto-into.log when the backup runs that says it is sending files to the offsite location with some stats about how many files were sent. Do you see those?

Hi Kyle,

No, nothing in the “demo” folder and nothing in the otto-info log.
The “Last Run” column is always empty.

The “Event” log of FMS shows me that the local backup is OK.

Do you mind sending me the Event.log for the period of time of the last run of the schedule? OttoFMS watches the Event.log to determine when the schedule is complete, I suspect that it is somehow missing that schedule. You can DM it to me.

Thanks for sending me the log! It looks like this is an issue with us assuming that the Event.log will be in English. I’ll get this working for log lines in other languages in our next version.

-Kyle

Thank you very much Kyle.
