you can send them my way. If you could include the otto-info.log from the source server that would be ideal
If neither of the servers are Windows servers I would try turning off the “push build” and running it again
both are windows I turned that off and it worked.
Is there a firewall or anything that might prevent the development server from talking to the prod server?

OttoFMS 4.8.1 should give this a better error, although if I remember properly from our talk the issue was that your source server was not upgraded to a version that supported build pushing. Thank you for the report!
