When doing a migration are you doing a chmod on the file

I notice that the files that are on the Linux server as a result of a migration event (dev to prod) seem to be set with permissions of 644
Is Otto doing this?
Is there a reason? Can it be changed?

Hi John,

We aren’t doing anything specific to set the permissions that way.

What are files that are uploaded with FileMaker set to?

Todd

Good point. Hadn’t ever checked that as I now hardly ever use FMP to do that, often from FTP where I know I need to chown and chmod anyway

It uploads with 644 permissions

Hello @toddgeist and @john_r ,
We’ve noticed the same issue. When using Otto to deploy, the new files end up with permissions set to 644, while according to FileMaker guidelines they should be 755.

I wanted to ask the Otto community whether there’s a specific reason why Otto modifies the file permissions?

Thanks!
